In the Hospital... We Make It All Work Together.

WOW; Workstation (Computer) on Wheels

September 16, 2020

At IMS we specialize in four different product groups. One of those groups is EMR Computer Mounting Solutions, designed to mount the computer, display, and keyboard for Electronic Medical Record (EMR) data entry.  One of the most popular products for EMR data entry is the Workstation on Wheels cart (WOW) used by clinical staff as a mobile charting solution.  The WOW can be upgraded to include large format computer displays, secure locking drawers for med distribution, RFID readers, Barcode Scanner Mounts, Sani-Cloth mounts, and many other accessories. The devices mounted on the WOW can be powered by the onboard power system, providing several hours of continuous mobile use.  As with any device in a 24/7 healthcare environment, they typically require scheduled maintenance.  With our only focus being healthcare and strong relationships onsite in the hospital as a result of supporting Patient Security Systems, we offer a full range of support options for WOWs purchased from IMS.

Call Anytime! We're Here For You - 24 - 7 - 365

April 29, 2020

As a Service Technician for IMS, I work directly with Nurses, Nurse Managers, Biomed Technicians, Electricians, and a host of other professionals within the Hospital on a daily basis. I answer questions, help solve problems, and basically do anything that needs to be done to keep the Hospital’s Patient Security System running smoothly. A lot of this involves taking phone calls from staff because of an issue they are having. One of the biggest comments I hear from nursing staff is "I didn't know if this was a big enough problem to have bothered you after hours, but I wanted to check".

"Wish all vendors were as good as IMS!"

Being a service technician has taken me into hundreds of different hospitals over the 14 plus years I have been with IMS. In addition to installing new Infant Security Systems for hospitals, one of the jobs I have done in many of them is completing their Annual Preventative Maintenance (PM). As part of the PM, I interact with numerous Nursing Directors, Nurse Managers, Charge Nurses, Bio-Med Technicians, Maintenance Technicians, Security Managers and Officers, and a host of other hospital employees.

Best of The Best

The National Dog Show, televised every year after the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, has become a fan favorite, even for those who don't typically follow dog shows. The winning entry even makes national headlines and generates a lot of publicity for the winner's breed. But what does winning the National Dog Show mean for the breed?

Who Do You Trust?

In our last blog we discussed “Buyers’ Remorse” and how making an educated purchasing decision helps one avoid stepping on landmines. Nowadays, we have the world at our fingertips to aid in our research. Google has fundamentally changed how we gather information and as a result we use the research we find online to guide our decisions.

Super Bowl Of Service

January 30, 2019

The annual championship game of the National Football League is where the top two NFL teams battle it out on the field to determine a winner. Winner takes all.  The Super Bowl is the elite invitation to be the best! It is also when companies spend significant money to get us to talk about their commercials and their brand. Were they the sentimental favorite? Was it funny? Was it inspirational? The brand winner gets rewarded with media buzz and increased revenues. At IMS, our Service Team is the elite team that makes it all work in your hospital. Available 24/7, 365. Don't take my word for it. Here is what you had to say about them:

Danke! Gracias! Je vous remercie! Thank You!

When was the last time you received great customer service? Did someone go out of the way? Did they listen when you were upset? I cannot remember the last time I received service that made me want to shout their praises. Before talking about customer service being a lost art, we need to define what customer service is.

Work and Ethics

June 28, 2018

A new family moved in next door this Spring.  Early on I met Dad and a short while later I met Mom and the boys.  Over the next few weeks I observed a family that was a very industrious team. They immediately got to work cleaning up last year’s leaves, mowing grass, trimming shrubs and opening the swimming pool, a major task in itself.

The Art of Customer Service

May 23, 2018

A recent call to a company resulted in getting disconnected after a couple transfers to find the right department. This happened after being on hold for 20 minutes. To say it was frustrating was an understatement! I am sure you can probably recall a customer service horror story. Was it with an ineffective website, a poor phone system, or was it a personal interaction? When one gets poor customer service, it is frustrating. Why has the art of customer service taken a back seat at so many companies?

From the Technicians...

April 3, 2018

In celebrating our 30th Anniversary, we will introduce our various departments and share more about our staff. Last week, we talked about our Service Technicians, who work tirelessly to insure everything operates as it should. In keeping with the Service Department, this week we want to share, in their words, what they find rewarding and how they make a difference.
