Work History:  I have been at IMS for 3 months but have 17 years in the Medical Industry
Territory Covered:  Indiana, south-eastern Ohio and Kentucky
  • What is the most challenging part of your job? To stay on top of the ever changing fast paced healthcare market and to stay relevant to customers and their pain points.
  • What value does IMS bring to the market? The ability to put our customer’s first and to truly take a consultative approach to address the customer’s needs.
  • What is something you taught yourself lately? How to use a pressure cooker successfully!
  • What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Spending time with my family.
  • What is one interesting fact about yourself? I was born 2 months premature, weighed 3 lbs, and was delivered by my Dad (Luckily he is an OB-GYN). My Mom’s doctor did not make it to the hospital in time!

Dan Shine  |  Account Executive - IDN Manager

Territory Covered:  Missouri, southern Illinois, southern Iowa, parts of Kansas and Arkansas
  • What is the most challenging part of your job? Making sure that all our customers and potential customers are aware of the great solutions and services we provide.
  • What value does IMS bring to the market? Exceptional, dedicated team members along with innovative thinking for existing problems. I also bring personal service and 30 years of experience working with hospitals.
  • What is something you taught yourself lately? Installation and set-up for wireless microphones for my DJ equipment.
  • What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Family activities, golf, volleyball, reading, bbq’ing.
  • What is one interesting fact about yourself? I have a small DJ service that I run with my daughter. We do weddings, anniversaries, graduations etc. It is a great way to help people and have fun playing music with your daughter.

  •  What is the most challenging part of your job? The most challenging and rewarding part of my job is connecting medical personnel to the services and solutions we offer and establishing a trusting and beneficial relationship where none had previously existed.  
  • What value does IMS bring to the market? Tremendous service, a meticulous level of attention to detail that contributes to the successful completion of the job and a dedication and duty to present the best solutions to our customers.  
  • What is something you taught yourself lately? How to French braid my daughter’s hair.
  • What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Running, biking, hiking, travelling and fishing.
  • What is one interesting fact about yourself? I am a former Good-Will Ambassador of the great state of Minnesota.

Territory Covered:  
Michigan, northern Indiana, and northern Illinois  
  • What is the most challenging part of your job? We have multiple product lines and large territories. Keeping on top of everything is a real challenge!
  • What value does IMS bring to the market? We are a solutions provider.  We offer more than just sales – we offer ways to help customers solve problems. Plus we have an outstanding service team.  In the hospital…..we make it all work together!
  • What is something you taught yourself lately? My daughters bought me a beer making kit for Fathers day.  My first amber ale turned out pretty darned good!
  • What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? I have a woodworking shop at home.  I love to make things – Last month I made a bench out of old wooden pallets.  It’s not comfortable but it looks cool!
  • What is one interesting fact about yourself? When I was about 20 years old, I hitch-hiked from Michigan to California.  It was a lot of fun and I met some interesting people.

  • What is the most challenging part of your job? Not being face to face with people.
  • What value does IMS bring to the market? A skilled team of people with a cooperative corporate work ethic.
  • What is something you taught yourself lately? TV repair
  • What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Automotive restoration- current project 1953 ½ ton 2R5 Studebaker pick -up truck.
  • What is one interesting fact about yourself? Born long ago in a distant land.

  • What is the most challenging part of your job?  Adapting to the rapid pace of change in today’s healthcare market.
  • What value does IMS bring to the market?  We’re in it for the long run, so the customers can rely on us for many years, trust that we’re looking out for their best interests, and know that they will receive a low total cost of ownership. 
  • What is something you taught yourself lately?  How to travel with less – packing light and not worrying about having something for every situation. 
  • What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?  Bicycling, running, charcoal grilling, spending time with family.
  • What is one interesting fact about yourself?  I’ve run 8 marathons.  Considering I’ve been blessed with short legs, it’s really more like 16!
