POWERED LAPTOP CART

When preparing to implement the Electronic Health Record, one of the choices for a mobile data input device is the mobile cart, or as it is sometimes called, the mobile computer workstation. A typical configuration is the powered laptop cart, consisting of a laptop PC, where the clinician uses the laptop computer screen.

The power system continually charges the laptop battery and in the event that the user deeply discharges the computer cart battery, there is the back-up of the native laptop battery until plugged into line power for recharging.

IMS has taken the flexibilty of the laptop cart one step farther. In the event that the future charting landscape requires a larger screen, the laptop carts can be upgraded/equipped with a VESA mount and a larger 17 to 22" inch screen, using the already installed power system and laptop computer.
