Non Powered Mobile Carts

There are two basic assumptions when selecting a non-powered cart:

• That the user will never need more run time than the intrinsic laptop battery can provide and the recharge time of the battery will be acceptable.
• That the laptop screen will provide enough landscape and be easy to see as the charting packages grow larger and more complex.
  

In reality we find that in a relatively short period of time ( Long before the useful life of the cart is up.)the users are asking for "the largerst LCD display that can fit on the computer cart."  They are also realizing that the run tme of the laptop battery and the lengthy recharge time do not fit their clinical use case.

The Howard non-powered computer cart is designed with this potential scenario in mind. This "Future Ready" computer workstation can be upgraded to a powered laptop cart, a fully powerd LCD cart and then add four levels of drawer type to accomodate simple storage to secured med delivery. This upgrade path uses the basic cart and adds additional components.  Nothing is wasted.
